I *think* it is after they are a year old. Why Tammy Chole (sp) still doing puppy things to your home?

Well, I just had to get my two cents in on this one, I'm such a dog lover and have never been without one! I guess you could consider them grown up by 1 year, but every dog we've ever had...well, they "act" the puppy part well into being 2 years old. Usually by age 2, they are more mature and get out of the puppy rut! Tammie

I have to agree with sunbeam. My AJ will be three in October and he still has alot of "puppy" in him. We've alweays said they are puppies until 2 or 3.

Our vet told us that ours would be a pup until around age 2 and to continue to feed him puppy chow until then. We switched over to dog chow right around his 2 year mark.

Every brand of food I've ever read says to feed them Puppy food until age one. But if your asking about behavior? LOL That can go on for a long time! ;D

Depends on the breed of dog I think. Some dogs like an Irish Setter can act like a puppy for many years..LOL. Ask me how I now this.. I think the vet would tell you age 2.
