This cat is wacky! I found her this morning nursing. She now has 5 babies. I think at least 2 of them are hers, a pure white and a pure black. She also has the 3 from Bat Girls' litter. They are nursing, but have lost some weight from the change over of mommy's. LOL She is extremely protective of them too, just a hissing and spitting at me and was taking swipes at me too. Too bad, I picked them up anyway to check them out and make sure they were all okay.

I stole them back, plus one! ;D She has 4 babies over there, one pure white, 2 pure black and a white with cute markings that is real tiny. All doing good. But I stole one too many, a little black one with white markings was climbing up my leg so I took him too. So Bat Girl now has her 3 babies back plus one, and Tria has her 3rd baby back. I'm so bad, LOL

Never a dull moment at your house Dee. Glad Bat girl got some babies to play mom to. How did she get the name bat girl? When she was a baby (along with her 2 sisters) I couldn't think of names (you know me, LOL) They all had such enormous ears compared to the rest of their bodies that they looked like bats, hence Bat Girl 1, Bat Girl 2 and Bat Girl 3. One died 2 winters ago though, so we only have 2 out there now. And yes, she is in her glory to have her babies back! She is just about the best mommy out there. You would never know that she is raising these babies outside, she keeps them immaculate! ;D

I'm not too sure what is going on. I think most of the babies are now under our porch, YES all of them! Seems whichever mama is available when they are hungry, will nurse them. I know, I have goofy cats! You should have seen Bat Girl go after a racoon yesterday! The racoon must weigh in the range of about 30 pounds and she weighs about 5. He got too close to her babies and she tore after him. Beat him on the head something fierce. The racoon just ducked his head and took it. I'm sure glad that he did, one swipe and he would have hurt her.

Wonder if your mama cats would be interested in having a baby goat to nurse. I still have 3 on the bottle. Glad to hear that mama cats are so helpful to anyone's babies that happen to need a drink.

Oh my Deed, it's good to know that they will all nurse no matter who the "real" momma is LOL So how is Kleptomomma today?

Thanks Pat but somehow I don't think that will work. LOL
Yes Ellise Kleptomommy is still at it. ;D It doesn't matter what baby I am holding, if they cry out, when I put them down she comes running and grabs them up! What a wacky cat, but nightfall they all end up back under the porch.

I am laughing so hard. I can just see her creeping up to the porch to snag one of them babies and jet underneath for protection! LOL What a silly girl... and a great momma to boot, even if it's kitten-napping in 48 states!
