The vet I really love just called...and called right after they opened too. I have been chasing the other vets down for info, so I am really pleased that he called me this time.
Anyway, Joey's fever is down, but he hasn't eaten yet. They need to keep him until he eats so they can make sure his body is processing food the way it should be. His belly is still very sore, which they said is normal after all the surgery he's had.
The best news of all though is that we can visit him today!!! I made sure that it wouldn't be hard on him to see us come and then go again and that it wouldn't be hard on the kids to see him (e.g. if he has a bunch of tubes sticking out of him or soemthing else that would "freak" them out).
I am so excited, and I just know I am going to cry...we'll be going there at 11
I can't wait to see him ;D

Sunday 7 AM UPDATE
We visited Joey yesterday, and he looked GREAT! I wasn't expecting him to be up and about...trying to jump up on the bench in the room (not supposed to jump at all). I got to hold him (gingerly), and as soon as he saw us he started purring. We visited with him for about 1/2 hr before we had to leave so Dave could get to the bank before it closed. He needs to eat more before they'll let him come home (this was as of 11:00 yesterday--he had only eaten a tiny bit).
The hospital is open today, so I'm going to call once they're open. I really want him to come home today!
