Our kitchen was too hot tonight, it was 42oC here today, 108oF I think. We went out on the verandah step on I sat on a chair on the lawn. I saw this type of guy crossing the road heading uphill, we are not far from the corner. www.hypervision.com.au/aquarium/topics/creatures/tortoises/characteristics.htmDH put him under the sprinkler, he retraced his steps and continued up the hill along the road, I guess to reach the paddock at the top, or field. He was quite large.

I imagine he was thankful for a little dousing of water. Sounds hot there br and reminds me to be thankful for our 60's.

It clouded over and we thought we were in for a hot night, but we got a nice breeze. There were fires in our State yesterday, seven homes lost in a town out west and our old town had grass fires on the outskirts, it was very smoky. It was such a windy hot day. In NSW near the largest city there are fires there. We had alot of rain in spring and there is alot of grass around.
