Our kitchen was too hot tonight, it was 42oC here today, 108oF I think. We went out on the verandah step on I sat on a chair on the lawn. I saw this type of guy crossing the road heading uphill, we are not far from the corner.

DH put him under the sprinkler, he retraced his steps and continued up the hill along the road, I guess to reach the paddock at the top, or field. He was quite large.

It clouded over and we thought we were in for a hot night, but we got a nice breeze. There were fires in our State yesterday, seven homes lost in a town out west and our old town had grass fires on the outskirts, it was very smoky. It was such a windy hot day. In NSW near the largest city there are fires there. We had alot of rain in spring and there is alot of grass around.
