We don't have cats or anything else as the neighbours around us have about 7 cats in total! Our closest neighbour's cat comes in to our house sometimes (although doesn't get ANY food whatsoever - just some pats), so I played this Youtube video of 2 cats talking ---- uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z3U0udLH974(for those of you who have dial-up - there are 2 cats lying next to each other just having a little cat chat) Neighbour's cat just looked at each cat as they "spoke" and twitched her ears. THEN I played the "video response" of the white cat going maowwww ("Noooooo") and our neighbour's cat HISSED at the laptop!!! Whatever was going on there was not pretty! I think it was some sort of territorial thing as I've heard our neighbourhood cats making the same "Noooooo" type of sound to warn other cats to get off their territory, and of course the cats inside the laptop are on their territory (therefore our neighbour's cat thinks that our house is her territory - ha!)

LOL rosebee.
We always had Siamese, and I think our current cat is part Siamese, though you can't really tell. They are supposed to talk to their owners a little bit more than usual.

Be careful your visitor doesn't decide to mark his territory!!!!

Our neighbour's cat is female, so doesn't do that - at least I don't think female cats do that? Instead she rubs her face alongside every object at her level. Cats have scent glands at the edges of their mouths, that help let other cats know where their territory is as well. If a cat rubs the side of its face against your hand, or rubs against your leg, it is saying "I own you!" ;D usually meaning I own you so give me some food.....LOL..
