Today at the craft shop which has things people have made at home, I got a dusty pink one with white in it, and also a plum colour very cheap.

"Penstemons species are plants that give a huge amount of pleasure. These plants are members of the family that rejoices in the name Scrophulariaceae. In fact they are in the same family as North American foxgloves and snapdragons and the flowers look very much the same. It’s a wonderful group of flowering plants, ranging from shrubs to alpines. In Australia we tend to grow a range of perennials, many of them bred from Mexican plants. They have been hybridised to give a wonderful range of colours. The name Penstemon comes from the five stamens in the flower... The North American Indians, who knew these plants intimately, used the woody ****s as a cure for toothache, as a pain killer and also as a means to stop bleeding. The foliage of the Penstemons is dense and they make quite a good weed suppressant. These would be perfect for mass planting on a really exposed sunny bank. But just use one colour form for real effect. You could also use them as an underplanting to taller growing roses, choosing a colour that matches the roses as closely as possible. Nip the heads back to keep them a little short but an appropriate height for the roses and to maintain the ongoing flowering. Alternatively they're great in perennial borders. These are versatile plants, which will give you long flowering periods. Choose some Penstemons and really enjoy them."
