In late winter I can't wait for this bush to flower. Today it was pruned, we are trying to make it one stick with an umbrella at the top. We had one at our old house, then you can see under it and have other smaller plants underneath under the shade, handy with frosts etc.
The perfume reminds me of our old schoolhouse, there was one there as a child. It is beautiful and really made our garden smell like a garden.
Its real name is buddleja salviifolia.
A must have in the garden.
