I saw a tiny bean tree in the nursery a few weeks ago. It has been planted with alot of care away from the dog and protected with wire. My grandparents had one at the back of their property and a town about 1 hour from here has alot of them. I love them, they are a little like a Chinese tree that has become popular here called a pawlonia. I saw a photo of a bean tree in a magazine recently and it was just lovely. They are native to America, also called a cigar tree. www.cs.nott.ac.uk/~ef/20060801HorshamBreak/200608011229IMG_2743.htm

We thought it was dead. But it is spring here and there are tiny shoots at the bottom. We are very happy.
