I was watching Gardening Australia a few days ago. They were saying salvias were very good for a drought. I didn't know that. But the one we have is tall and did very well on its own at our old house at times. It doesn't seem to wilt.

We've got very sandy soil which dries out very quickly, and the salvias have always survived whatever the weather.

I don't know if I am imagining it but the front yard has that awful grey look again. I wonder how long it will be before we can use the hose?
