Oh no! Br, there are always stacks of them, especially the 4 inch ones, put out in our annual hard rubbish collection. You could drive down the street and pick up a boot full some years. They're also sold at some of the rubbish recycling places, and some garden centers have bins where people can return them for reuse.
I would think that if you put the word out at school, the shops, everywhere you can think of, that people would be glad to get rid of the half dozen or so that have been lying around the house forever.

I got some at Mitre10 for about $1 each. I suspect around here the ladies at the craft shop collect them so they can sell their home grown plants.

dh got some bigger terracotta coloured ones from True Value or something like that for $2 something today, ten of them. He also brought a couple of oil drums from the tip, and is recycling the 1 litre UHT milk cartons.
