I was so lucky yesterday. My grocery shop has some nice flower seedlings, though they stopped towards the end of last years drought for awhile. I bought the last punnet of Flander's Poppy starts? or seedlings. There is not much to them, but with snail bait they should be OK. Usually we wait for March to plant things for spring, but this year or the last few days have been nice for plants. Yes, it is March tomorrow anyway isn't it? Last year it was still too early. These poppies in silk flower? form are sold for Remembrance Day here and perhaps elsewhere, before November 11. I am hoping they seed down and I get them again next year. They are from Woodlyn's Nursery if anyone wants to try to get some. www.burkesbackyard.com.au/1997/archives/27/in_the_garden/flowering_plants_and_shrubs/flanders_poppies
