This is the first in a series of children's books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Alot of adults reread them. The second is Little House on the Prairie. Is this your favorite book in the series, BR?
Mine are The Long Winter and Farmer Boy. I still re-read them from time to time.

The Long Winter is definitely my favourite.
Which is your favorite bit of Farmer Boy? We bought the picture book from it last year called County Fair.

The part where the mom and dad leave and Eliza, I think? is left in charge. Love that!
That pic book sounds really nice. I love Long Winter. Just reading about their survival skills....I almost feel like I am right there with them.

I know what you mean. In one of the movies, they put hay in the stove without twisting it first, it was hard to watch.
