Well, we'd have to ride just a bit 45 minutes or so, but I would take you to The Bantam Chef here in town Lake Lure, in NC Ye Old Quilt shoppe in NC Caesar's Head, NC Greenville SC's night life is fantastic so we'd have to go stroll the village at night. All the good shopping is in Charlotte, NC so we could hit the outlets, have lunch at Wolfgang Puck's, see the aquarium at Bass outlet and then do the evening stroll in downtown Charlotte.
We'd come back to my house, sit on the porch swing and enjoy each others company. I'd even let you haelp me decorate my Vici room! ;D

Well everything is a bit of a drive here, but I have to say NY has some of the prettiest scenery around so it wouldn't be bad at all. Roberson Center Go around to all the carousel sites, Binghamton and the surrounding area is know as the Carousel Capital in the states. Ross Park to see the animals and ride just about the only carousel still operating. Cost? 1 piece of trash. They also have a Discovery Center, which is a 'hands on' place for children to learn about animals, science and the have a dinosaur dig too. ;D Definitely HAVE to take you to Lupo's for Spiedies! ;D Mmmmmm I'm very close to the Finger Lakes that have winery's all up and down them. Beautiful drive. If you come in August, there is the annual Spiedie Fest and Ballon Rally, a 3 day fest with lots of hot air ballons, great food, and we now are getting some of the top stars in the music business performing.

Not much to see here-- I could take you to the Rock house. It's a small cabin built from rocks many years ago and a favorite spot to take yearbook pics, etc.
Now if we'd drive an hour or so, I'd take you Lincoln's home, tomb, old state house, New Salem, or we'd head south and to Alton to the Locks on the Mississippi, to the Piasa bird paintings, to Tara point. . . . .

Well, unless you have been to the UK before I think you would have to think about what sort of things you wanted to see because you would be spoilt for choice! First of all the city of YORK, famous for it's huge Minster and Cobbled Streets in parts of the Centre, the Roman Walls around the edge of the City, lots of Olde Worlde places, Tea Rooms...........a very popular spot for American Tourists! ( just 25 mins drive from my home). About 35 mins away is "Bronte Country" land of the famed Bronte Family..........you can look around the house which is now a Museum, full of old furniture and clothes ( these were TINY, people!, it is quite shocking how petite they were!)..........there are old books and all sorts of things, I am not a fan of Museums normally but this is pretty interesting. The Village of Haworth ( where this is based) is very Olde Worlde and passes a couple of happy hours for those interested in History. 21/2 Hours drive will take you to the Lake District, which I love so much we go at least once or twice a year! I call this place Valium for the soul ;D I think anyone who takes the trouble to come to the UK should visit this place as it is a Jewel in the Crown of Britains beautiful places The same amount of travelling time (but in a different direction) will take you to Britains best kept secret, the Northumberland Coastline and more Castles than you can shake a stick at! We have just come back from having a Wonderful holiday up there ( until my poor little Dog got sick), it is a beautiful place and I could happily live there! If you want to do some armchair traveling in the UK type into google UK Lake District, when you can drag yourself away from all the lovely places.....(Wordsworth's Cottage and Beatrix Potter etc. type in to Google UK Northumberland Coastline and hopefully you will see why I can't wait to go back! Enjoy! Karen

Around Dayton, Ohio, I'd take you to see:
The Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Bluejacket-- outdoor drama Young's Dairy- a local favorite farm for ice cream, feeding goats, and miniature golf The Dayton Art Institute
And if you were here in June we'd have to go to the Troy Strawberry festival-- they have anything and everything that you can imagine made of strawberries, plus a big craft show.

You guys will have to explain some of the things in a tiny bit more detail. Having said that I probably won't do a very good job lol.
We have a new Festival The Silver Brumby Festival about a book written by Ellyne Mitchell, there will be a craft stall.
We also have The Man From Snowy River festival where they do a Riley's Ride to reenact Jack Riley's ride to hospital.
Hydro electric power station.
Bison farm, you could all be bored with that.
Fly fishing,
Tour the wildflowers both on the mountain and about the roads.
See the brumbies, kangaroos and wombats.
See the street stalls and view the snow.

Do you drive up each individual lake? My Mum lives on a lake like that. It is much quicker to drive on the other side, well I thought at first anyway.
