I have the great pleasure of living on the border of two of these states NC & SC. with Tennessee only 45 minutes from me, we love traveling there each Spring, but we always go to Pigeon Forge. Next spring I want to go someplace different, Still inTennesse of course but I'd like to see more of the state.
Of course in NC you have the best of all the worlds with everything from the beautiful mountains , to the ocean, big cities, small towns, you name it it's here (well there) here in SC we have lots of heritage like Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Cowpens national battlefield is about 5 minutes from my home. And of course we have ANderson, SC home of T.L Hanna High school which is also the home of James "Radio" Kennedy. The guy they made the movie about, and yes he is still at that school.

We have only been to TN once. Went specifically to see Nashville and I was greatly disapointed. So on the way home we stopped in Knoxville and went to the zoo there. One of the best I have ever been too, I highly recommend it. ;D

I love love Nashville. I would start packing my belongings right this minute if dh said let's move there. That is the only place, other than Michigan that I long to live.
