I'm off to the southern hemisphere on Tuesday! My hubby is originally from Zimbabwe and his family moved to South Africa when he was 12, so he has SA citizenship. We have been there twice before, and are going back to see some places we saw before and some places we missed. We will also see our niece who wasn't even born when we last visited, she is now 14 months old! These are the names of some of the places we are staying at, which give an idea of the atmosphere of the places: Little Thatches B&B Wilgewandel Farm 2Oceans cottages Natures Valley Forest Hut Blue Skies B&B I will take lots of photos and post them here when I get back. It has snowed a bit today and I can't wait to get some summer sun!

The flight is 11 hours (iiihhkkkk!) After about 5 hours stuck up there in the tin box, I have watched all the movies, listened to all the music stations, read all the magazines and am going insane! I love flying and being able to look down and see the land below, but after a while I get claustrophobic and start to miss being on solid earth! I usually get no sleep, and today I got some herbal sleeping tablets, hopefully they will help a bit.

I have heard some of those tablets are good for jetlag? Are the magazines good? They would be interesting for awhile. Our son was lucky he could sleep when he travelled around China, lucky him.
Cara, they even supply socks so you can change them, imagine that.

OK, I'm getting all packed and ready to go, have to leave in about ummm, 5-6 hours! BR- there's no stopover, when we first went to SA we stopped in Paris, and it just made the trip a LOT longer! Won't have jetlag as the time difference is only 2 hours (jetlag affects you if you travel across a few time zones) The destination is SO worth the horrible long flight though! Ok, better go pack!

I wonder how Rosabee's trip is going....it's funny...just yesterday, I was helping Daniel with his homework and he had to read and make a resumé about South Africa...
