Hi all I had a wonderful 3 weeks in South Africa (in the SUN!) and saw lots of wildlife and beautiful places. Have mentioned some crafts I picked up in the craft section. I have so many photos I don't know what to do with them! I will upload some shortly. We spent 2 nights in a National Park on the coast, near a village called Nature's Valley, and a monkey came to our cabin and tried to open the door, luckily we scared it away! We also stayed at a farm that had ostriches, alpacas, pigs, geese, chickens, ducks, a 3 legged springbok, goats, and camels! We went to quite a few game/wildlife reserves and saw elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, rhinos, etc etc! Will post photos soon! Now it is back to reality - cold London and getting prepared to move home, in the next few months!

Wow, I've never been to India, but it sounds like an amazing, vibrant place. And what a wonderful thing to do there! My sister has a friend doing something similar there. Some photos of my SA trip here: An elephant at Addo Elephant National Park. It was a "teenage" sized one and was munching away at the leaves and turned to look at us. Nature's Valley - the river mouth, very misty here, between the mountains and the sea! Our cabin for 2 nights at Nature's Valley. i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/turehu/GPmarket.jpg[/img] A market in Cape Town Sitting by the river at the backpackers lodge in Magaliesburg (2 hours drive north of Johannesburg) this was on our 2nd to last day of the holiday - time for reflection!

This is a rather blurred photo of a monkey that tried to get in our cabin at Nature's Valley! Luckily it couldn't figure out how the door handle works - we scared it off by banging on the window!
