Mama's Morning Cup O' Health3-4 cups of distilled water 1 small piece of Wakame or Kombu seaweed (gives the essential minerals necessary for the day) 1/2- 1 cup carrots, peeled and chopped 1/4 cup daikon , peeled and chopped 1/2 cup white onion, chopped 1/4 cup minced green onion 1-2 Tablespoons Miso Place seaweed into distilled water with pinch of sea salt. Bring to a boil and remove seaweed. Place all the veggies except for green onion into boiling water and let boil for about 5 minutes. Take 1/4 cup of the boiling water and add the miso to it, stirring until completely dissolved- I use my favorite wooden chopsticks to do this. Remove pot from heat and let cool for 3 minutes. Stir in miso mixture and mix well. Pour into soup bowls and garnish lightly with green onions. I sometimes like to let this cool and then just drink the broth from a cup. My kids did not like this at first, but they quickly acquired a taste for it, and they will tell you now how much they like the taste of it and that it makes them feel great. carlalynne.blogspot.com/2006/07/miso-soup.html
