Tonight it is red lentil patties and potato wedges and something else, but can't think of anything so far. The mixture is already in the fridge for the patties.

Chicken schnitzels and some kind of risotto. Bit boring, but they'll eat it!

Curried Lentil Patties 1 cup (200g) red lentils 2 cups (500ml) water 1 teas (5g) curry paste 1 packet (65g) or roughly 2oz vegetable based soup mix 2 tabs chopped parsley 2 tabs wholemeal plain flour 2 tabs oil (Metric cups are 250ml, US cups I beleive are 200ml) (Australian tablespoons are 20ml where others are 15ml I think) Wash lentils in strainer, place in saucepan with water. Bring to boil and simmer 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Add curry paste, soup mix and parsley to lentils. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, overnight if possible. Shape into patties and roll in flour. Heat oil and fry 4-5 minutes on each side. I used red curry paste I think from a jar. Lentil and Silver Beet Patties Follow recipe for Curried Lentil Patties. Add finely chopped stems and leaves of 4 stalks of silver beet or swiss chard, blanched 2 minutes in boiling water. Curry paste recipe: www.yummytaste.com/ingredient/curreypaste/phrikkangped.htm

I think you could adapt this the way you want to, although I haven't tried it. They are alot firmer when left in the fridge overnight. As long as there is twice as much water to lentils and they are boiled for the right amount of time and then some flavourings are added I think it would be OK. Obviously soup mix could be a thickener, and that is easy to come by.
