He has pains in his back...I think it's kidney stones like last time....a few years ago... He has vomitted twice also...once at 2h30 pm and just now. He also has pains in his lower right abdomen. I think I may have to take him to the hospital... I'll let you know how it progresses....I'm worried....boy..and i have to go pick up François in Montreal, 30 minutes from here around 7 pm...I hope Pierre will be better...

Sorry to hear that Pierre isn't feeling well. Sounds like a kidney stone and those are certainly no fun. I have had three...ugh. Please keep us posted.

Thanks everyone. He is a little better now...he still has back pains but they are more endurable. Phew...I was worried it woudl be like last time...he was in so much pain last time....he had been put on morphine for the pain, so much he was in pain and yelling and groaning loud.
I hope it passes like this...tell me... what helps to pass kidney stones? I imagine drinking alot of water...and I remember my grandfather drank a cup of cranberry juice each morning and he would say it was for his kidneys....What advice do you have that could help him?
Thanks

Lucie~
Drink lots and lots of water..That will hopefully flush the stone out Drinking cranberry juice is helpful each day as well. Dh drinks it each morning and it has helped that he never had another stone after the first one.
Also, stay away from tea, coffee, and soda. Tea is a big culprit with the oxilate it has..Did they test his first stone to find out what caused it or what type of stone it was.

Thank-you everyone. He is feeling better today, also. He still has some pain in his back but it is much milder.
Thank-you Carolyn for your advice. I bought him cranberry juice to drink and I told him he will have to stop drinking 7-up and reduce his coffee intake....and he eats too much salt...chips and just salt in general.
I don't know if they tested his stone but I do know that his dr had told him to greatly reduce and stop all the above foods and drinks I mentioned....but he hasn't listen...
I think this time he will. He told me he will do it. He's afraid to go through what he did the last time.
I'm so glad to know your dh never had anymore kidney stones after that, Carolyn. I'll tell Pierre that it works to drink the cranberry juice and the water. Maybe it will motivate him. He just LOVES junk food.....and it's so bad for him....

Lucie,
Walking is good also. Most people who get stones have a sedintary lifestyle. Walking will help to pass the stone also. Keep us posted.

I'm sorry Pierre is feeling rotten Lucie. Yes it sounds like kidney stones. Jack has had them and they are excruciatingly painful, about brought him to tears.
You are following the right course to flush them out, just keep it up and I hope Pierre feels better real soon! {{{hugs}}}
