We met in church. His family moved here from Florida and he was the new kid. Since I am 4 years older than him, I really did not pay him much attention. As we grew to know each other, he would say things like, "If you'll wait on me, we'll get married when I get older." I'd laugh and mess his hair and say, "Ooooh, you are so cute!" This went on for about 4 years and guess what? I took him up on his offer! We got married when he was just 18 and I was 22. That was 20 years ago and I tell you, that was the smartest thing I ever did!!!!
He has been such a blessing in my life. I treasure his down to earth approach to living, his gentle, friendly personality and his quirky sense of humor. I cannot imagine my life without him.
