Does that man in your life like to hunt and fish and if so do you go with him?
Ok, let me just start a controversy here. LOL. Dh use to hunt and was raised hunting in the hills all of his growing up years. The first time after we were married he brought me home a pheasant to ummm *cook* I did, but then he brough home a little bunny and I lost it then. Ok so I can't stand to kill animals. (only if your hungry)....After a bit he stopped hunting for sport.
He does fish and while I don't like to fish I do go with him and pass him sammies and drinks and then I read a good book. LOL. No bait for this girl. As I told you all, I am a girlie squeamish girl all the way thru.

He does both and I do neither. LOL. I have been fishing with him, but fish don't bite for left handed folks...at least not this one. I don't do fish bait either....ick...double ick...and I surely don't touch fish unless it's with a fork. No way could I go hunting with him. The first time a little deer stepped out I would jump out and yell, "Run Bambi, run."

ROFLOL, Lynn, we are so alike. I went once with my Dad and sat in the woods and I kept talking and making noise and Dad told me the deer won't come if you don't be quiet and I just smiled....Ha

In life before busy jobs etc. I went kangaroo hunting, duck hunting, quail hunting, fishing, rabbit hunting, ferreting, I'm sure there is more. Prior to this I went fishing with Dad and my friend Paul who was our sharefarmer's son. I also dug worms and put them on hooks.
I enjoy seeing kangaroos and deer in the bush on the way to town now though.
We also have been crayfishing.

My excuse is that my family had a butcher shop and often I spent my evenings there when they were killing sheep, mostly not in there though.

I grew up with both hunting and fishing and while I'm not against either if you need to feed your family, I too don't like the killing of animals for sport.
I was so thankful when I met Jack and he hates both too! ;D
