I love my husband dearly, but lately he makes me a nervous wreck when he is around...He was off for the last two days and I had to take an extra anxiety pill because he had me a wreck...Its not really anything he does or says its just his presence...I feel like I'm under a microscope...Anyone else have this problem

Jayne,
When my dh first retired it was wonderful. But...the longer he was retired the more we got on each other's nerves. I told him that all of a sudden he became an expert at how to keep house, laundry, etc. It drove me nuts. He followed me around all the time and I couldn't get anything done. This was mostly solved when he got a part time job. I think he just wanted me to entertain him and I certainly didn't have time for that. LOL.
I can understand feeling like your under a microscope. Please pm me if you want to talk more ..

At the moment I have 6 people underfoot, it has been like that for a month. In a weeks time it will be the quietest it has been ever I think. DH starts work on Monday week, but I imagine he will go to school quite a bit next week to get things started. Then the kids go to school and little daughter starts preschool, then ds goes to uni.

My experience is that if husbands are usually busy and away alot it is hard to adjust back the other way.

When my DH was out of work for 6 weeks he drove me crazy! I never really thought we had a routine, but it was apparent we did when he was there and disrupted it! HUGS to you!
