Tim finally got back into the Gastro yesterday and he got the results of the biopsy...It looks like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which is what they were leaning towards all the time...He has some scar tissue on the liver also, not sure what it is from...The doc said that he has no real treatment other than to change Tim's diet and add exercise, because this disease goes hand in hand with diabetes and heart disease... He will have to have blood work and an ultrasound of the liver once a year...Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes...God is good and we are praising him for this being something we can deal with

What a wait this has been for you both! Thank goodness it's something you can deal with, and thank you for sharing the news. What a relief.

Phew--you must be relieved for sure. I'm so glad it's something treatable. Hugs.

Good to hear the results, Jayne. I know it's relieving to have a diagnosis and you can move on from here.

That 's great news! My doc said something about fatty liver to me when my liver enzymes were high. Don't you think they could have come up with a better name than "fatty" liver?

LOL Cheryl!!...It isn't a nice name, but I guess it is what it is, too much fat in the liver!!...
Now, someone tell me, how to get this man to make better food choices when I am not with him?.....
