Violet, is there a preferred type of rain jacket young men like to wear, or a favourite shop to buy them from?

Mine would rather get wet , Br! However, just last week eldest ds had to buy a waterproof jacket to wear to the snow. He ended up with this: www.columbia.com.au/products/productDetails.cfm?stcID=9002e2df-4bb9-4d85-ab51-8eca48cddd55in bright blue (run your mouse over it to see how it looks). It cost him $179 at Snowgum, but would no doubt be at other stockists. He's worn it almost every day since he got it as it's warm, waterproof and looks good. He did look at a few other places, but liked Snowgum best. They have a range of clothes for young people but are not cheap. Their online store is not fabulous, but they could send you a catalogue if there's not one nearby: www.snowgum.com.auThere are also the sports stores, if your ds likes that look. Otherwise try Roger David or maybe Target? I didn't see anything like a waterproof jacket at Westco, General Pants or anywhere else I looked actually, only the outdoor shops like Snowgum. Ds didn't like anything at Kathmandu. Ds is really impressed with his jacket, especially the little ipod pocket at the front. He hasn't had anything that good before. Younger ds does wear a waterproof jacket when he runs. It's a lightweight shell type, and came from a discount sports store. HTH!

Well, he bought a jacket, but I am afraid to ask if it is actually a jumper with a zip, or a real jacket.
