Heck no! And believe it or not I've seen some "boutique" dresses on Ebay sell for $300+

Don't have a daughter, but I can tell ya...nope, I would not. I wouldn't even pay that kind of money for a dress for me.

Some Mums shell out alot more for the girls than themselves, myself included. Although I am aware that good clothes and shoes for me would naturally cost more, so if it is important I will get it and not necessarily get the girls the equivalent for the same price, but a group of clothes yes.
I have even bought my own clothes at goodwill lately, something I thought I would never do.

WOW, boy do I need to get sewing and selling! LOL I looked at that picture and that dress is not hard to make. There are no collars, sleeves etc... Pretty easy, just looks hard because of the busy fabric. Truthfully I would find the hair bow harder to make than the dress. What I don't get is why are they putting pants under a SUN dress?

I thought that was strange too, Deed. I can imagine the looks that would bring in South GA. LOL....
BR, I am all for my children looking well dressed too. But as fast as kids grow, there is no way I could comfortably justify spending that kind of money on a sun dress and a pair of pants.

Gorgeous dress (without the pant-things), BIG price tag - I wouldn't/didn't ever spend anything like that on dd. (or me!) Mind you, we are coming up to formal (prom) time, but that's a whole other ball game!
