I hate it. I'm too short, fat, old and grumpy to look good in anything, and too poor to pay for anything nice. Well, that's how it sometimes feels, anyhow! By the six millionth store in the closest big shopping center, I'm starting to get very grumpy indeed. Nearby is a small boutique that stocks terrific clothes. They have a selection of brands, not the cheapest, but not the staggeringly expensive either, but a good selection of stuff for women over 35 or so. I can always find something there. Do you prefer little boutiques, or the big malls when you go shopping?

I don't remember buying anything. My underwear purchases were from a Department Store, and a supermarket chain ie Safeway. I remember around 2003 getting a few things from ebay that were originally from that Department store.
I bought two things from party plan last year. Overall I think Myer wins at this stage. I got a Christmas dress there. I did get the suit from the op-shop labels like Mirrors.
I have older clothes from K-mart, I always bought tops when I first got pregnant.

I think clothes follow the same kind of rule as kitchen appliances - you buy the things you need when you first marry, then 20 years later everything seems to need replacing. My theory is that clothes are on a 10 year cycle. I buy a T-shirt here, a pair of jeans there, and then about once every 10 years everthing's too tight/worn out/full of holes/hideous to wear in public anymore!
