Anyone else out there have big, frizzy hair? When I go to the hairdresser, they manage to blow dry it dead straight, then they pile on the product until it's smooth. It takes them about 45 minutes to blow dry it. Of course, when I try to do it my hair doesn't come out like that at all. I've tried a lot of different products to try to moisturise my hair and weigh it down a bit, but none have helped much.
My question is, does anyone use a shampoo/conditioner or a particular product or two that does a brilliant job of keeping their thick, wavy, curly, frizzy hair flat???

If so, please tell me as well. I've even bought the products at the hairdresser and can't get it to work like she does. My hair is wavy and very coarse and when there is humidity I can look like a clown. Can't wait to hear what is recommended.

Help?? Anyone??
My hair got rained on yesterday, and went from being smooth with body to shoulder-width frizz in no time!!
I have read in a few places that a couple of drops of safflower oil smoothed over the hair helps. I did try it, and it was ok, but no great miracle and anyway it made my hair smell like peanuts!

I saw a commercial on TV for a product called Frizz Ease by John Freida. No experience...just thought I'd pass it along....

My Nana used to wear these little hair covers when it rains, do you remember those? Not suggesting you do that lol.
I must be quite difficult where you can get showered on at any time. It is like that here at the moment as well.

Thanks, Br, I haven't tried the Redken shampoo they suggest, but the John Frieda Frizz Ease stuff (thanks lynn, too!) really doesn't do much for my hair.
Years ago there was a home-brand conditioner from one of the supermarkets that left it really flat, it was wonderful. As most people don't want flat hair, it disappeared off the shelves. Ah, well, I'll keep trying.
