Do you have and use hot appliances to get a hair style?
If so what brand and how often do you use them?
Ok, I have a plethora of appliances, LOL.
My hair dryer I use daily. It is a Clairol Quiet Styler with 1875 watts of power.
I have a Ceramic Flat Iron for when I want my hair straight. It is made by ConAir.
And I have three, yep three curling irons for my hair at different lengths, LOL
Vidal Sasoon 1/2 inch barrel Vidal Sasoon 3/4 inch barrel and Revlon 1 1/2 inch barrel for those long large curls.
I use one of these everyday if I am going out. If I am staying home I just blow dry using a large rounded brush.
I do not have hot curlers because I have tried using my dd's and they won't stay in my fine hair.

For the most part, I use my trusty blow dryer and a small styling brush. If time permits, I like to give it that piecey look.
If I am not going out, I just brush and style. If I am going out, normally I shampoo, blowdry and style.
Have not done hot curlers in many moons.

Lynn, I love the piecey look. Can you share with me how you accomplish that?

well, a good stylist can help you get that look. I went to mine with a picture in hand and voila! She did it! I did ask that she leave some of my length. She got busy with a tool that looked like a razor blade.
I mousse it and blow dry, using that little styling brush. Lightly spray and then use my fingers and brush to achieve that piecey look. It's really easy, if you can get the right cut.

So they do the choppy thing with the razor right? And do you pick up each piece and separate it and then spray? Does it stay piecey? I love that look...

Well, if you can find a good styling brush, it will help to separate and lift the pieces....only you won't brush, more like picking kinda. It does stay piecey with enough spray. I love it too.
And yes, the razor is what my stylist uses. At least, I am assuming that's what it is.

Thanks Lynn, I will find a picture of that cut and take it to my stylist next time I am ready for a new do. I just got the really short stacked bob, so think I will change a in few months.

2 blow dryers because they overheat when I try to dry my hair 4 Curling irons 1 Fat barrel 1 Skinny barrel 1 Med Barrel 1 With bristles I think they are all Vidal Sasson or something. I try not to use them at all they cause so much dammage to my hair. Unless I am in a rush and don't have time to just let my hair dry otherwise I just let it dry naturally. I only use the irons when I dress up or want to feel "extra" special. My hair is long and sits just below my bra line in the back. It is tapered on the sides to flip under, and when I do that, I use the blow dryer with a Ball type round brush.
