My girls have what I call hair clips. They clip the hair out of their eyes. Are these barrettes?

The hair clips I found on that site are the lovely oldfashioned ones.

I think I tried those when my eldest daughter was little. We use different ones again for kids hair. Maybe I can find a pic.

Here in our weekly market you can get those big plastic claw clips for 1 euro. I have a few that I use during the summer cause when it is hot, I don't like my hair touching my face.
