I have been L.I. for 12 yrs now. I'm pretty used to it now, but one thing I really hate is going out for ice cream in the summer time. I'm surprised that shops don't carry dairy free ice cream with all the people that are L.I. and allergic to dairy.

Dave found me some sharp cheese the other day without lactose, and I am thrilled!!! Up until now the only cheese I've been able to have is "veggie" cheese...hardly the same but a decent substitute. Now I've got a good sharp cheese, and I've got to be careful because I used to LOVE cheese!

I love cheese too. I found a parmesan subsitute the other day and posted it, I wasn't sure if anyone would need it. I am not exactly sure what sharp cheese is, it is a little mystery to me. Do you mean tasty cheese or something like parmesan? Vegetables and cheeses are a little hard for this Aussie.
