Well the moment I thought I'd dread so far, I think I am looking forward to. No more sore eyes.
I am getting my eyes checked on the 16th. Last time a few years ago I just went and had my eyes checked for disease etc. as everyone should.
I am hoping that I will be able to think better after this, I beleive having sore eyes etc. tires you out.

Goodluck Linda! I hope the eye check up goes well. Let us know as soon as you know the results for your eyes.

Yes, glasses for me. Last time I had my eyes checked they said I would be late getting glasses, but not this time.
I could see how the ones you look over might be handy as I have trouble reading packaging sometimes, but couldn't come at it.

Can't wait to see what you choose br. Teddymaker, I had those and hated them too. I could not get use to them so it is lined bifocals for me..Then I got a pair of transition to the sun ones and I don't like them either. I wish I could go back to contacts but with all my eye troubles well that isn't going to happen.
Sure hope the new glasses improve your vision 100% BR.

I hope I have better luck with my glasses. I was a little disappointed that dh couldn't be there to help me choose. I was lucky they had glasses there, since we are a small town and all, and they did look pretty. I was admiring the purple ones while I was waiting for my turn to have my eyes checked.
I just chose the pair that looked least offensive to me. They put about 5 on my face to try. They are modern with small black rims to match my hair. Narrow rectangular ones. I have been trying to remember the brand.

They sound great, Br!
Ladies, I'm interested in your comments about the progressive lenses. I HATE my current glasses, they're my first pair of multi-focals. Supposedly they would correct my severe short-sightedness and, when I tip my head, help me read now that I've got the age related reading thing. In reality I can't see anything properly - they're awful! I still peer over the top to read (even though they're not peer-over sort of glasses!) and can't see to sew. Arrggghhh. Now I've got to save up for another pair of regular ones, but I might enquire about the bifocals.

Miss V, I love my progressive lenses, but then again I had to have bifocals when I was in my 30's and didn't want lines on my glasses. They take quite a bit getting used to especially going down stairs. And I tend to look under mine to read, LOL
