natural supplements and uses herbs?
Right now I take Vit C, Vit E, a combo for hair, skin and nails, Grape Seed Extract and Royal Jelly for energy.
Over the years, and more recently since my dd Lori became interested in homeopathic and more natural things I have started taking more. Use to all I took was a daily multi vitamin.
What is your take on natural vs presriptions..?

The more natural the better for us. I have been doing more homeopathic remedies for about 10 years now and I cannot tell you the amount of benefits we have received from the. We are in the process of going all Organic as well but are having a hard time with getting Don to convert. I know that for us it has cut our common colds and flu down by at least 3/4 of what it use to be. I think in the past 4 years we have only been sick a handful of times. Like now I have a cold of some sort, but since don brought home some more Echinacia (sp) and Bilberry extract I feel much much better

Ellise,
I love hearing the long term results of going homeopathic. I hope to get some good results myself. You all know I have a compromised immune system and I am doing all I can to build it up. Might be a loosing battle for me, since the lupus just has a mind of it's own, but I figure it can't hurt. KWIM? One thing I can't take is Echinacea>

I take a multi-vitamin with extra calcium, 800 IU of vitamin E and that's it. Everything else I take are prescriptions. I wish I could go more natural, but I can't have any herbs (like tea in abundance) or herbal remedies until I am off this one medication for cancer.

How much longer are you on the medication Dee? I know you can't wait to be off of it.

I have to be on it for 5 years or 60 months and I have now been on it just about 21 months so I still have about 3 years and 3 months to go.

I quit taking my vitamins while I was sick. I started them again and I cannot tell you how much better I feel. I added evening primrose to the mix to help with this pms stuff instead of presc pms meds.
And Carolyn, I just take the WalMart magnesium. 2 shortly before bedtime. I think the strength is 500 mg.
