Ok, I wanna know....who exercises, how often and what type do you do. I am going to start walking again, which is about the most I can do with my health. But I gotta get going!

Lynn, your making me laugh so much today. No, I don't think housework counts, or at least that is what my doctor claims..but what does she know. She is pencil thin and has a nanny and a housekeeper...

I am sorry, Car. I truly am. I just feel....ooohhh I don't know how I feel.....between the coffee and the hormones, I think I am ready to bounce off the walls. I'm with you. My dr is female and too thin. It ought to be illegal to be that dang skinny!!! And what do they know anyway? I DO...WALK....when I am cleaning house. Thank you very much. How do they think I get from room to room? Roll? If I don't start "exercising", though, that may become a reality.......just kiddin' y'all. So maybe they are onto something. Go figure.

I don't think they are onto something..And I think that walking from room to room should count. I get my heart rate up just by mopping..LOL

Being one the world's least coordinated people, walking's about the only exercise I can do well lol. I did find that I toned up a surprising amount when doing the tubing exercises Dr. Phil has on his website. I was really impressed (amazed) how much better I felt, and looked, but have only just started again after a three month break due to surgery. Here's the link: drphil.com/articles/article/463I found the tubing at our local sports store, in the States it should be very easy to get.

Humm, that might be something I would like MissViolet. I am going to check into the tubing. Can you explain what it looks like so I know what I am looking for??

It looks like a skipping rope, but made from stretchy tubular rubber. I love it, and find it easier to do correctly than free weights. It's the first of many things I've tried that I've actually stuck with. Here's a link to pictures of tubing: www.power-systems.com/P/Exercise_Tubing/default.aspx If you get one skipping rope-style one you can print up the exercises on the drphil link, and that's all you need.

Just tried it, clicking on the first line of the link seems to take you to the correct page too.

Looking to start walking again soon. I was going 3x a week up until it got cold. I also need to dig out those videos again and get cracking. I have both yoga videos (well dvds) and The Firm dvds. Gotta remember to take care of me too.
