I don't myself.
My husband does collect creek water from the mountains, but I don't put it into a bottle for myself.
Thoughts?

Here in France we can only drink bottled water unless you have a special filter for your tap but even then it doesn't taste that great. Our bottled water is 11 cents for a 2 liter bottle at Aldi. It is good that it is cheap here unless you buy the fancy name brands.

Aargh, my post vanished - must have hit the wrong button.
When we lived in Adelaide, South Australia, all our drinking water was bought. Their water is very hard, highly chlorinated, and tastes and looks awful.
In our regular domicile in Melbourne, Victoria, the water quality is excellent and we drink what comes out of the tap. Even though supplies are low due to the extended drought, the water still tastes good.
Your water is very cheap indeed, cupcake. I'd hate to think how many millions of water bottles there must be polluting the world, however there are many places where bottled water is a must. We are very lucky here.

Oh, I should have mentioned that they recycle the bottles here. We have a special trash can set aside just for the picking up of them once a week. I don't know what they do with them but they do recycle them.

I wonder if it's like the system here, where households have 2 wheeled rubbish bins/trash cans, one for garbage, and one for material that can be recycled. Actually, 3 bins, because there's a green waste one as well for prunings from the garden.
They seem to find some exciting uses for the recyled material, cupcake, perhaps some of it finds its way into new bottles?

Yes Violet, I think we do have the same system as you. We have the 3 colored trash cans. I think they are making new plastic bottles out of the old ones for one thing. And I have noticed in the public park areas, benches and picnic tables made out of recycled "stuff". It is great that they can re use alot of things.
