Wow that is scary. I have had an opened package of hamburger buns that lasted a month and I finally threw them out cause I wondered something must be wrong for them not to go bad at all.

I've never seen hydrogenated oil in the breads I buy, but I suspect the laws here are stricter than in the States. Our favorite is one of the organic sour rye breads, but at twice the price of regular, I don't buy it often.
