Look what we discovered a couple days ago. I got a pot of hyacinth last year from dh and after they bloomed he put them in the garden. Well, they are up and one of them is bloomed.

Very lucky Cara. Very blessed, I hope you have perfume all over from them. I hope to get some for a pot, must do that soon.

When I was little I used to go to work with my Nana. She made lunches at the hotel. The owners mother was a great gardener and had hyacinths in a wheelbarrow, I adored them. The barrow was set on bricks in a courtyard out back where I played.

The buds on my ***** Willow tree are open too. Seems strange. I see other bulbs peeking up, the crocus, Star of Bethlehem and daffs are all breaking ground here.

Ours break ground in autumn then flower in the spring. Mine will be up in a few weeks. The tulips have already popped up which is a relief as some people suggest having the bulbs in the fridge during summer, ours were left in the ground. If they flower OK they can stay there next summer as well.

I was thinking it was too early for my tulips to be up and it is. It was the bluebells, we put a couple in there as we ran out of room elsewhere.
The girls had fun putting in their hyacinths today, they thought they looked like onions.
