Something we have done up until recently is to watch one of the Pooh movies that starts off with Pooh in bed and some leaves blow in and land on his nose. We always tried to watch it on the last day of summer.

What a fun tradition! I love Pooh Bear!
We have our Fall Fair the last weekend in September each year. It signifies fall to me with the warm days and cooler nights, the homecraft section in the arena full of canned goods, baking, crafts, vegetables, fall crafts, quilts etc...eating candy apples (I can never resist a candy apple at a fair), 4-H children showing their animals. Our whole family goes and has so much fun.
Fall traditions here also include meeting at my parents for a BBQ out on the patio the first part of September. All my brothers are there with their families.
Making apple pies for the freezer, applesauce, doing up the end of my tomatoes and beets also "feels" like fall...bringing in the harvest for the cold winter months.

Ah Fall, Well I don't have to tell all of you that I simply love Fall. Fall to me means, sweaters, and sweat shirts, sitting on the porch in the cool night air. Sunny days, and crisp mornings. Lot of dew on the yard. Beautiful fall colours.
Going to the Apple Festival, and gathering up goodies from there. I get lots of Holiday shopping done at this festival.
Fall means, settling in for the winter. Having lots of homemade soups. Hot Cocoa galore. And Hot Tea. Yum.
Caramel apples, yum.
oh boy, I am ready.

Fall-- every fall we host a huge outdoor party here. Wiener roast over a huge fire, sitting on straw bales, and a hay ride in the back of a flat bed wagon! We generally have over 100 people come.

Pooh bear says on the video "hot chocolately mornings" so I guess he is not the only one who thinks that way!
We also have our show or county fair in autumn, which is good.
Last autumn we tried fried green tomatoes.
