Heat Pressing: Place the foliage between two pieces of waxed paper (waxy side against the leaves and cover your ironing board cover with a towel), and pressing the wax paper with a medium hot iron, coating the leaves with the wax. Peel off the waxpaper. Replace the wax paper for each pressing.
Microwave drying: Place the leaves between two pieces of paper towels. Use 30 sec intervals. Use caution, your leaves can catch on fire.
Glycerizing: Using mature leaves, mash the stem ends of each branch (no longer than 18 inches). Place in warm mixture of 1 glycerin/2water, 6 inches deep. You can purchase glycerin at a local drug store. Replace solution as the branches will absorb the water.
When an leaf turns brown, flexible, (two/three weeks) the process will be finished and will last for years.
You can also place leaves between laminate sheets, making place mats.

Maybe I'll try this when fall comes. It could be nice to use these presered leaves in scrapbooking...
