Difficult as it may be to believe, next week Thursday will be Thanksgiving Day here in America. I am finding it hard to accept that the months and days are passing so quickly and Thanksgiving is almost here and Christmas is really just around the corner. As I think of Thanksgiving, this year I seem to feel truly grateful in my heart for the simple things. What with the war in Iraq and our precious soldiers fighting for the freedoms of others, tsunami's and hurricanes that have devastated landscapes and lives, gas and heating prices soaring beyond belief (and knowing my paycheck will never increase fast enough to make up for that!). Well, here's what I'm thankful for: ~my salvation in Christ ~my family that is so precious to me ~my roof over my head and food in the cupboards ~my dog who goes nuts when I arrive home cause he thinks I'm just the greatest! ~the Christian radio station I can listen to ~Friends who love me in spite of myself ~chickadee's at the bird feeder
Well, that's just the tip of the iceberg, but when all is said and done, I sure am thankful for all the *blessings* in my life.
What are your Thanksgiving Blessings?
