Usually I buy for the girls throughout the year, but they're getting to an age where they'd rather tell me what they'd like vs. my being able to pick things out for them and knowing that they'd like them.
So I haven't bought anything for them at all. Dave & I didn't exchange gifts last year because money was so tight. That may be the case this year as well.
We only exhange gifts with my mil, my parents, my brother & sil and my nephew. I make their gifts as well, and no, I haven't started any of them yet LOL
We don't exchange with my fil & step-mil or with Dave's brother and sister, and for that, I am thankful. I think I am going to start another thread to brainstorm what to make for everyone this year.
So how about you? Have you started shopping for this Christmas? Do you have a gift closet that you shop from when the season arrives?

I also do like you Michelle~I try to buy all year round to have less to do just before chrsitmas. I have to wait until the last minute for my 3 olders boys,a s their tastes change very rapidly.
I love gettiNG ready for Chrsitmas. I think it's a great idea to start talkign about it early. Time flies so fast!

I have to wait until the last minute for my 3 olders boys,a s their tastes change very rapidly. That is what I was trying to say above about K & L. I do know one thing that we'll probably get for Lauren, but it's possible that my fil will want to get it for her for her bday, which is 3 days after Christmas. So has anyone started now? I still haven't made a thing, nor have I shopped. I am really behind this year.

Nope. Not a thing. I'm weird, I know....but I kinda like shopping at the last minute. LOL.
The boys are very hard to buy for....especially the 18yo and 14yo. They like the $ stuff....like laptops, game systems, stereos....you get the picture, I'm sure! Now the little guy isn't so hard.
Shane and I limit ourselves to one gift to each other. I buy for my parents and nephews and that's it. I think this year, I will give my nephews, except for Baby Levi, money. That way they can get what they want.
I do love watching their eyes light up on Christmas morning, though! That is the best ever present for me.

I am not sure that I like my boys getting electronics to make their eyes light up. I am a bit mean.
I remember now, one did get a harddrive, can't remember.

I haven't even thought about Christmas--yet. I usually start shopping the first week of November, last year we only bought for our nieces, which was nice. I'm not sure what we'll be doing this year, hopefully we'll draw names early and I can get my shopping done early. I don't like the crowds around the holidays. I'm not crafty, so I have to buy all our gifts!
