You know it's been too cold for too long when 10º is tolerable. I just saw some guy drive up Main Street with his window down! And to think it was in the 60s on Thanksgiving!

I have only ever experienced -5oC. It was like that alot in our hometown overnight. You couldn't leave your arms out of the covers at night. We didn't heat overnight. It wasn't good for feeding babies, but I got there.

Wow, we are having a heat wave, as it is 14 degrees out this morning. Believe it or not, yesterday our neighbor was out riding his motorcycle for a joy ride, temps were in the 20's and we have snow here!

Yes Tammie I think in all the northern states we have fruit cakes that ride motorcycles. LOL
Today it was in the mids 20's (24º I think) actually that was warm for us too. Been in the single digits at night. The snow we got is here to stay until spring now. YUCK!

It's almost 40º here now, the foot of snow has melted into a muddy mess, and I'm sitting out on the deck in a T-shirt! (that's how good it feels!)

Well, it's the start of summer here in Aotearoa, but we had a week of really crappy weather, preceded by a week with several crappy days in it. I don't really mind the rain/gray skies, but not for 4 - 6 days in a row! Yesterday's forecast - and today's - were for more rain, but we had two brilliant days. There were some dark clouds moving in, but so far no rain.
I ended up with perhaps my worst sunburn (on my shoulders and back only, though) in years - was out waterblasting (pressure washing) the steps and as the water was nice and cool, I totally forgot how hot it was and that the sun was baring down on me. Got those steps clean, though!
