We grew these in our first house, they are called Jerusalem Artichokes here. We also pickled them.

The soup sounds delicious br. I wonder if I can find Jerusalam Artichokes here. I can get the regular artichokes but they aren't the same.

They are the kind of plant that looks after themselves here if you ever want to grow them. They go under a few names in the States, sunchokes etc. I think. Maybe if I post a picture of the actual vegetable? They are also called topinanbour.
