There are no such things in Australia, I didn't know quite what it would look like. But I have it, a 7" one. I got a Wilton online.
Do you all have one? What are they like?

I have a couple of angel food cake pans--- but I mostly bake the angel food cakes in loaf pans. We like they way the loaves slice, better than the tube pans. I use the tube pan for making monkey bread, jewish coffee cake, etc

You are a legend Denise. It is so nice to have some other things to bake in it, thanks. I got my Duncan Hines mixes today, the freight was quite alot which is dissappointing. We will have fun with it though. It is for dd3's birthday, I also got the icing tubes and little sugar decorations yesterday. Also trying out a frosting, we don't have much of a tradition for frosting.
I will print out some recipes for the monkey bread etc. when I have some time.

We tested out the pan, and were running around for a bottle to cool it on, lucky we found one the right size. I knew about bottles for the loaf pan, but not the other one!
Had heaps of batter, trying out the loaf pan now. Such an easy cake to mix, well in a box anyway.

DD8 told me to tell everyone that she loves angelfoodcake and that she thinks it tastes like candy!

I think she meant fairy floss ie spun sugar.
I was really rapt last night when we watched Little House on the Prairie. Laura made an angel food cake and let it cool on a metal funnel, I thought that was a great bit of information.
Today we are decorating one for Amelia's birthday.

Blake wanted angel food cake for his last birthday! I used a tall springform pan with an empty soup can in the center. We used cream cheese frosting! Angel food cake is really simple, it's really just mirangue (How are you suppose to spell THAT!?) with some flour and powder to make it "cakey".

Yes, we decided angel food cake is much like our pavlova.

DH was reading a book he has had forever, and found great instructions for angel food cake. We have some extra eggs from the farm and could even try out MissViolet's frosting. Karen is quite right about angel food cakes.

I imagine the children are having fun using the pan and taste testing the goodies inside. Enjoy BR.
