Yesterday at school he was helping one of the coaches move some things and his hand got slamed in the door!! It was so red and swollen last night! It's his middle finger knuckle (on the hand not the finger). He went to the doc's office this morning and got it checked out, I was really suprised that he did. Anyway they put him in a I guess it's like a soft cast (he can remove it when he showers.) Anyone ever heard of this or am I living in the dark here? He has to go back in a month for them to recheck it. He came home after his visit to let me know and grabbed some lunch then headed back to school. He said he didn't want me to get the bill and wonder what it was for. Good thing our doc's office is across the street from the High school ;D

Oh ok, I was just courious, couldn't see the point of having it if you could remove it KWIM? But Daniel told me it helps to protect it from getting hit or bumped any more.

Our dd is the first in our family to have a break. She had a green stick fracture. She got a cast that you could take off, the doctor said it helps with the pain.

Ouch! A finger hurts terrible, I can't even imagine what a broken knuckle feels like. Hope he heals fast with as little pain as possible. Oh and yes they soft cast much more now than they ever have around here too.
