There were no extra offers made today, so we will continue on as planned. It is a very good school, I think in the top 8 for our country. It has a good rep. for getting a job afterwards.
Nine days to go to moving day, five days to go for his first visit to the school.

Today ds and dh attended course information lectures and I think someone graciously let them have a look at a room, not sure, will hear more about it later. I did hear they have a food locker complete with lock, so all my food will have a place to go when we get there, I'd not like bringing it all home lol.
Hopefully we will be able to pick up a few books on the booklist as well so on Saturday ds will be able to enjoy the lifeskills program they have set up and enjoy their semi-formal dinner on Sunday before the Orientation Week.

It was great he saw the rooms, as he is in a temporary room at the moment. He has all but one book that hasn't turned up yet, so no one else will have that one either. Today he hopes to go on a tour of the library. The lifeskills program was about safety and things like that. He has a laundry card where you have credit, he has credit for only about 2-3 washes atm lol. He is out buying some more jeans to do larger loads. He hasn't a post office box yet, but he does have a phone and internet connected, he has been cooking or reheating things until he can unpack properly. He has another nice boy/man in a room in the same block until the move.

He is all moved in. Has done his washing and has unpacked. He has been trying to cook and last night made enchiladas. He has also shopped for food. His books are all bought.
We have to be invoiced for the student fees of $135 and they have to be paid by next Friday, but that is about all now I think, except maybe to find out if he has to buy a toaster or are they supplied? He has his post office box.

I think it is better each day. I always feel I have to hurry when I speak to him on the phone for some reason.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, ds starts his classes. I hope he has settled in well enough to manage everything. The other people in his group of rooms are from different countries so it will be very interesting living in that building. They have a nice cool day there today, very restful.

Our son seems to be doing fine atm. He has hung his washing on the line etc. I don't know why that seems a big achievement as he did that at home. His first class was weird for him, then on the second day he felt at home. He bought a catch up CD of the first class, he couldn't remember much of it.
I am still calling him once a day. I still feel a little tired, although could be fighting off a bug. Usually with big changes, the first week is the hardest, then by 3 weeks mostly things are normal again. It has been 17 days so far.

DS is still going well. He is nearly up to a break for two weeks. He has been home once for a couple of days.

Ds came home again, and I didn't cry when I put him on the bus this time. So I guess I have adjusted mostly.
