She's breaking up with her boyfriend of 2 years. Apparently he hitmher at school today- so she is currently packing up all the things he's given her , etc. and will take them back tomorrow (along with dh of course).
I'm just so darn proud of her, that she didn't feel like she deserved that sort of treatment, or just stay with him to maintain her pride.

Oh Denise, You tell my darling Deana that I am going to come up there and whup some butt. She is a smart girl to get out NOW. Good for her and I am so proud of what she did.

We had a long talk tonight- after she decided to break up with him. .
. I told her that Jerry has a lot of good qualities. . . but if he
hit her once, he'll likely hit her again. . . and the next time, he
might break a bone--- and then the next time he might kill her. She's
seen my sister in abusive relationships.
I just hope he lets it go, and moves on. I worry that he'll harass her , etc.
