It's over 90 degrees here in Wisconsin today, I just ate a bit of potato salad my Grandma made and had sent home with me. It tastes divine!! It never fails, her potatoes don't get mushy, her salad dressing turns out smooth and creamy...not too juicy and not too dry. *sigh* No matter how hard this gal tries, I simply cannot copy Gram's recipes and make them turn out like hers. Her tuna salad and potato salad are the "best", at least in my book! I'm convinced she just must have special "flavors" on the one finger she is always tasting her foods with as she makes them. Or else....it's simply all the love she instills in whatever she makes for others!

Must be that Grandma love she tucks in when she stirs. I understand what your saying as I can't copy my granny's or my momma's recipes..They never taste quite right..Thanks for sharing your stories Tam..
