I just love listening to my Grandma pray a blessing at mealtime. She is so humble in her prayers before the Lord, yet so sincere in her heart. She isn't long-winded, nor does she do a repetitive prayer. Each prayer is always different and unique, for what is on her heart at the moment. One thing that always has struck me about her prayers before meals...is how she asks God to bless all the hands that made the meal possible. From farmers across the nation, to packagers of our food, being a farm wife herself, this is something she always thinks of as she comes before God in prayer. Such a simple thing to be thankful for, yet if it weren't for the farmers across our land who grow food and etc, I wouldn't have anything to eat! So I try to remember to thank God for these things too.
