My grandma called me this afternoon to have a visit and that was so nice! ;D
Gram lives in an elderly apartment complex, she is on the ground floor. Often when we chat on the phone, this gal cannot help herself (meaning Grandma) and she is always peeking out the window while we converse. So I've gotten used to being in the middle of a topic, only to have Gram's running itinerary on what the neighbors are doing interrupt our conversation.
I know all her neighbors by name and gram fills me in on when they come and go, or who gets visitors while we talk on the phone.
Today she got so curious about a big truck that pulled in her parking lot that she told me with a giggle, "Miss Probe has to peek out the door to see what is happening." Too funny! Gram called herself Miss Probe, as in being nosy, just to look out the door while we are talking on the phone. I just had to laugh, and we enjoyed a great conversation anyway.
I've come to realize that if I am old and living alone one day, watching my neighbors out the window may be the most excitement I have all day!
