But why have they disowned her?...... I am so sorry for her. I can't believe any parent rejecting their child for what ever reason.... It must be rough on her and on Doug. I will say some prayers for her. I can't imagine how sad it must make her.

I think when children grow up sometimes parents forget that it is the childs turn to make decisions for their families like who they will marry, what they name their children etc. They expect it to go on forever with their stamp on things I guess.

They don't want her to get married while she's still in college, and don't want her to EVER marry my son. . . .. they don't like the fact that he's in the military, don't like the fact that he's related to the Eyer's (my maiden name- and the family has a bit of a reputation for being alcoholics). . . . mostly I think it's just because she no longer obeys them without question. . .
